Of the Quality of the World after the Judgment

We must next discuss the quality which the world and those who rise again will have after the judgment. Here a threefold matter offers itself to our consideration: (1) The state and quality of the world; (2) The state of the blessed; (3) The state of the wicked.Under the first head there are five points of inquiry:(1) Whether there will be a renewal of the world?(2) Whether the movement of the heavenly bodies will cease?(3) Whether the heavenly bodies will be more brilliant?(4) Whether the elements will receive an additional clarity?(5) Whether the animals and plants will remain?
