We must now consider the effects of pleasure; and under this head there are four points of inquiry:(1) Whether expansion is an effect of pleasure?(2) Whether pleasure causes thirst or desire for itself?(3) Whether pleasure hinders the use of reason?(4) Whether pleasure perfects operation?
